Levi's jeans, need someone who knows their stuff!

Hiya,

My boyf loves Levi's jeans, but hasn't had a pair for years, he is looking for a pair of 'twisted fit' ones, but even on the Levi's site I can't find anything about it. Does anyone know what I should be looking for?

  • Levi Twisters (engineered twisted fit) came out about 4-5 years ago (maybe longer?), which is probably why you can't find them. There's a few pairs on eBay though if you need a picture. Far as I know the latest Levi design is anti fit.

  • Here's some info:

    Anti-Fit:
Anti-Fit is one of the defining features of the Levi's® 501® Jeans, and as such has been around since the 501® jean was born in 1890. It's a way of cutting the rise of the jean in a straight line (as opposed to curved) which gives the 501® jean its recognisable 'top block' (the section of the jean that goes from the waist to the crotch). It came about as a result of trying to maximise every inch of the denim fabric in the late 1890s and early 1900s, and also as a result of taking the original Levi's® Overall and cutting them down to a pair of jeans. Overalls aren't cut to follow the body but rather to 'hang' on it, and so the 501® jean has that same cut - the 'Anti-Fit' cut that doesn't follow your body shape. There are many benefits to anti-fit: Greater comfort, less wear on the seat, and of course, the ability to look good when worn 2 sizes too big!

    Twisted:
The side seam follows the shape of your leg.
Check out Levi's® Engineered Jeans®. 501® jeans tend to 'twist' as they get more and more worn. It's actually the 'twist' in 501® jeans that inspired the design of Levi's® Engineered Jeans®.

Last time I looked, TK Maxx had the twisted fit. They're about 10 years old if not older so may only exist in larger Levi stores.

Ooops! Didn't look at the date!

Though I think its more shameful I didn't realise it was a 5 yr old thread rather then a spam one!:rotfl:
