Our cooker's grill doesn't work and I so miss having cheese on toast
.... can anyone recommend a grill of some description that makes cheese on toast, not a sandwich maker though and not expensive?

Well it's not quite the same as grilling, but Lakeland do Toastabags which you can use to make toasted-type sarnies in the toaster. They work really well - hubby is always making cheese sarnies in them. http://www.lakelandlimited.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/GBP/ParametricSearch-Start;sid=RzVeRCqrvz8dVmn3qEpVQoJri1AnpLviKDY=?search_typecode=2&search_typecode=4&search_typecode=10&search_typecode=16&search_online=true&search_availability=true&search_category_recursive=true&search_attribute_keyword=name&search_attribute_keyword=shortDescription&search_attribute_keyword=longDescription&search_attribute_keyword=SKU&sort_attribute_1=product_name&sort_direction_1=ascending&search_precision_keyword=0&search_query_keyword=toastabag0

I sometimes make cheese on toast in the oven and it tastes just the same if not nicer than when it's grilled. Just remember to pre-heat the oven first so it doesn't go soggy.

I have the Hinari MO1600GPT Oven-Toaster Graphite - it rocks. We saw these in America and had to have one when we returned!!!!!! Got it from Argos (£20) but is cheaper at Amazon now.
Had it over a year now, we also do the fishfingers, waffles, chicken nibbles etc etc
Also, toast, cheese on toast, naan/pitta breads etc etc
:j :j Really love my mini oven :j :j0 -

Woolworths, poundstretcher/ Instore and other shops sell these JML toaster bags for about £3.99, they do the job well.0 -
When I fancy cheese on toast but can't be bothered to pre-heat the grill I just make a cheese sandwich and put it in the toaster. (with no special bag):heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0
