  • I have been accepted on a 0% balance transfer card with Egg, they gave me a £4000 limit which means I can transfer my Virgin balance onto it. Im so happy as the Virgin card was something like 29% APR? Interest rate each month was ridiculous..

Anyway since I got paid on 28th Nov, I handed over my bank card to my mum and have been living on hardly anything. I was £500 into my overdraft last month and have just gone into it now by £5. I get paid next week so shoudnt go into it anymore as I have cash which will last me. Am a bit gutted as I didnt wanna enter into it, but I suppose I have done well as it was so high! Plus had xmas pressies to buy this month!

:T for the 0% - how long is it for? Try and make a plan to see how much you need to clear each month before it runs out.

Also, if you don't think you can clear the total, before the 0% ends, ask Virgin if they have any promotions on as they seem to offer quite good promotions for existing customers. You may get a few more months at 0% or a low interest life of balance transfer.

I think you can forgive yourself for a £5 overdraft - it is Christmas after all.
