Need Advice re Buzz Radio

Just dropped a right b****** DD1's phone rang and a bloke asked for her. He perported to be from *Buzz Radio* saying that she has won a holiday for two to Barbados after sending a text (which she is adament she didnt do).

Now, I gave him our address to send the tickets to (I KNOW I KNOW). This is something I would usually never do but kinda though whats the worse that could happen. I'm pretty sure its a scam although cant quite figure out what kind.

There is NO WAY that number could be traced to her name.

Any ideas ~ should I be worried :o

Not sure if this is the radio station
http://www.mediauk.com/radio/235/buzz-97.1 There are contact numbers, would be worth giving them a call and see if they can verify the win, Good luck and hope your dd has really won a lovely holiday

As long as you didn't give out bank details, and just an address, I wouldn't be worried. Fingers crossed that it's real, good luck for you!

I had already contacted BUZZ (the one above) and it wasnt them. They reckon that it's just a address gathering scam. Personally I think that its a lot of trouble to got to to send out junk mail

The guy was adament that it was a text, she HASN'T sent one.

What worries me is how they have linked her name to that number.

Thanks for your input thus far :D
