Getting Sky TV

Hi
Currently BR not due for discharge until March (hopefully earlier). Currently in a terrible deal for my phone & broadband, have phone with BT & b/band with Pipex. However, i have never been in arrears with these & always pay by monthly DD. These contracts are due to end soon & i have been looking at the Sky deal for b/band, phone, & tv.
Bearing in mind i am still un-discharged is it worth me applying? Do Sky credit check, would i have to tell them i was BR, would i have to pay a security deposit, or should i wait until i am discharged. Has anybody been able to get Sky while BR.
I would like to know as i reckon i can make a big saving by switching.
Thanks

All you can do is ring em and see what they say. I expect there checks are different for everybody. One thing I have learnt on this board is everyone is dealt with differently by same companies."Well, that sounds like a pretty good deal. But I think I got a better one. How about I give you the finger, and you give me my phone call"

The only was is to ask. There was a thread on here recently (sometime this week!) I think it was called BR friendly broadband or something. Try searching for that and see what it had to say.

Hi there
I have 3 for my broadband using a doggle thingie. OK it on a 18 months contract, my credit rating shot to h*ll but I passed. Works great at broadband speed, UNLIKE Orange which friend has and it slow.
Pay 15.00 a month for 3gb
They also do pay as you go think it 10.00 for 1gb. You just top up like a mobile. BUT for this you need to buy the doggle from mobile shop approx 50.00.
Have 3 for my mobile too pay 20.00 a month for 1100 text/mins. Basically 1 text is one minute, find this better than packages that give so many mins and unlimited text. As much more flexible.
Hope this helps, maybe try freeview for telly I have that its fine.BSC No: 186 There is always light at the end of the tunnel. Unless someone's nicked the candle !
