Just signed up for the campaign and there is a code to share with friends whereby they get 50% off the WakeUp Light from the Philips website. This makes it £49.99 with free P&P. Below is a link to the discount code thread I've created on MSE as I didn't want to post a discount code in this forum.

Crikey.. that makes this a very expensive campaign doesn't it. I know we had to pay £40 for the SAD light, but the vouchers we were given to give to people reduced it to £149.

But to have to do all the work for the campaign and end up getting it for (what is effectively) £11.99 cheaper than anyone else can - hardly makes it worth all the effort of bzzing!

I think your quite right. Also the price is likely to plummet further if people attempt to sell them on through ebay.

    Absolutely!

Mind you, saying all that, I reckon I'd have signed up for this if I hadn't already had the SAD light.. :)

I thought it was the same as the sad light until i read it again!. I was thinking about it but dont think i will bother since i only did the other light campaign about a month or so ago. But does it affect your bzz status if you turn studys down?

No, it doesn't affect your status.

HF3480 is correct, I was in two minds whether to, as the golite was rather poor in my view buuut on the other hand my alarm clock just died and does not count time so getting a new alarm clock/light seemed like killing two birds with one stone, but then finding out that you're not really getting much of a saving compared to what people would get with the offer code you give out seems rather poor as you should get more off really Id say we should be paying £20 considering the difference in the discount for being an actual bzz member and what anyone could get with the discount codes. I also think maybe we should have had a choice in the wake up light model as I would have rather the HF3485 as this has a replaceable light bulb whereas the model we recieve does not and I have a tendancy to blow out lightbulbs when I turn them on somehow. Still Ill be happy to try it as Ive always wondered if the whole waking up naturally with the simulated dawn and going to sleep with a simulated dusk actually helps or works good. We shall see, if not theres always the noise alarms Im hopeing they're good and effective as I have been known to sleep through my old alarm at full volume which was very loud bleeping sirens.

It should also be noted this appears to be an invite only campaign as it was showing as "full" at the bottom of the page and then I got sent an invite and while I hd the option to join through the link it showed full at the bottom of the bzzcampaign page too until I actually signed up lol.

Thanks im not going to do this one, i cant really afford to at this time, and having just forked out for my light last time, so soon after is a pity.
However people say you arent saving much, but the lights themselves maybe good. cheers:beer:

I got invited on this, I didnt take it up last time and dont think I will this time either, seems a bit expensive to be a "trial" its more like a sale where you have to write reviews.

Funnily enough I got an email (The emails were about four apart in my email box!) from ibood.com today where there are selling for £59.99 here.. http://www.ibood.com/uk/en/product_specs/4784/Philips_Wake-up_Light_with_Radio_and_Energy_Efficient_Light/
    Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently! ;)
