It's worth checking your BzzAgent account just to make sure, as quite often you don't get an email when you get a survey.

If more experienced members get benefits to campaigns first then there will be no spaces on campaigns available for newBEEs (Sorry about the pun :P)??

Bzz always say that they reserve places for new members, so that they do get the chance to do surveys and progress. One of my friends joined, on my recommendation and was offered the iron survey straight away. As a member on tier 5, I was not offered the iron campaign until several weeks after, in fact I thought I was not going to get it.
It mainly depends on your profile and if you fit the criteria they're looking for.
