My 'steam generator' spewed brown water on the white shirt I had just about finished ironing the other day, which was annoying, but my fault for not rinsing it out.
I've done that now, although I wasn't sure whether I was supposed to empty/fill/empty both compartments (the one you 'top' up and the 'calc. cleaner' one) but I did it anyway, since some water came out of the calc. cleaner compartment when I unscrewed the 'plug' and turned it upside down...

I've got a bottle of Asda 'green tea and vetiver' 'ironing water'. It doesn't say on the bottle whether you can put it in a steam generator. I usually use it to spray on clothes I'm ironing, or as a room spray occasionally (love the smell). Has anyone put this ironing water in their 'SG' or do you know if it's okay?

    Thanks.

They strongly advise you not to put any ironing water in a steam generator iron

Thanks. I'm not sure what I've done with the instructions! :o
I'll find them one day when the 'iron' has long since been sent to the 'great big iron graveyard in the sky'! :rotfl:

I had a chance to use my 'golden key' and do the activia campaign.

I have declined. We're sick of yoghurt, creamy or not!!
