Evening all *sigh*
Just come in for a moan really. Had the worst driving lesson tonight, making stupid mistakes, I am really annoyed with myself. I know it is because I am tired but I am going again at 9am and I won't be any less tired then. Ugh.0 -
Is anyone else watching Celebrity Masterchef?? They are all doing sooooo well.....YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)

skint, my test is in a month...ish... I am keeping the date under wraps as I will be a wreck on the day! I go for 1 hr on a Friday and 2 on a Saturday and the Friday lesson always seems to be like a warm-up, but never this bad. I didn't signal coming off roundabouts TWICE, couldn't decide what lane I was in on a mahoooosive roundabout, and just general stupid mistakes, too fast at times, WHY can I not keep under the speed limit ALL the time, learners are supposed to be slow! 40 becomes 42 in the blink of an eye. I would have failed ten times over if that had been my test.
I so hope I sleep better tonight, and I can't even blame DS, it's just the heat. I love that picture posted earlier, I'm melting!
Thanks Bun0 -
Don't beat yourself up DD.....the lesson is over. Just take the positive things you did and forget the rest. Learn from it and move on (says she who failed her test first time round), but the advice still applies.
Get a good night's rest......nice warm bath with some lavender maybe and you will do so much better tomorrow.YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)

I can sympathise DD, I've woken up the past two nights cos of the heat - not that I'm complaining as it's been freezing here for way too long!Mortgage OP 2025 £7050/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

DD, it's a nightmare when you just can't get the sleep you need. Are you making sure you are looking after yourself in other ways - eating enough, making sure you are having foods with slow-releasing energy, drinking enough water. Sorry if that sounds patronising, but I know that when I'm tired, I crave chocolate, and then when I eat it, I feel a little bit better for a few minutes, but then I crash back down even lower than I was to start with.
If you can look after yourself as much as possible in other ways, the lack of sleep is easier to cope with I think.
The heat really bothers me too, and I keep a little spray bottle of water (it used to hold spray-on sun oil, but i have recycled it, lol) on my bedside table. If I get too hot, I spray a mist of it into the air above me, especially near my feet which seem to be the bit that feels hottest. As it evaporates, it really cools you down, and you're only spraying a fine mist, you don't end up feeling too damp."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Thanks Suzy, no shame in failing first time, only 40% pass apparently! I am just under a bit of pressure to pass as I go back to work a couple of weeks after my test. But what will be will be on the day. I know I am capable, I just need to fine-tune everything. Tomorrow I will practice the joy of reversing around a corner - now really how often do you need to do this in real life?!
Snagglesnot patronising at all. I too crave chocolate when I am tired, thankfully the heat puts me off a bit though (unless OH sneaks some chocolate buttons into the freezer
) I have to confess last year when pregnant I spent about £10 worth of Boots points (:money:) on cans of Magicool  it is WONDERFUL. What I'd really like of course is a nice young man to follow me around waving a big fan at me all day......
