We are expecting our first baby, and it's my husband's 30th Birthday in a couple of weeks. I would like to get him a present from the baby, that could be personalised with Happy 30th Birthday Daddy and a short message. Given that our baby is due in a couple of months, money is starting to look tight. Does anyone have any ideas about what the baby could buy? Also, does anyone have any ideas where I could get a 30th daddy birthday card from, as I've not been able to find any in the large retailers?

How about something like this:

I got one similar for my hubby from our little girl for Christmas - he loved it. Inoffensive, personalised, and something he can keep close to him all the time.

What about an album of pictures of your time together pre baby and a scan photo, then leave a couple of pages at back for first photo and footprint with a message about her being the best present he ever had......... if you were feeling creative you could make it into a story book with photos.
Card wise - try somewhere like moonpig where you can personalise yourself and have printed.
Good luck and best wishes0 -
Hi there, for my OH first fathers day I got this
[cost about £6 and he loved it. its inexpensive and very funny at times it gives you guides on what to do with the baby etc ... had him in stitches at parts. you could do a babys handprint and footprint just inside?
Agree with personalised cards to to MoonpigRaising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
This could be a great gift gag for a 'daddy to be'

hello - i know a couple of dads (including my partner lol) who have been given this pre-baby being born http://www.amazon.co.uk/Baby-Manual-Conception-Two-Years/dp/1844257592/ref=pd_sim_b?ie=UTF8&qid=1217179237&sr=1-1
...its really good ...especially as my partner is a very "car-y" type lol
(oh and his surname is Haynes so very fitting lol)Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?0 -
You will probably be able to get a card from Moonpig and personalise itThrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End
You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time0 -
How about a little hamper for you and some plasters, put in a little note saying, To the best Daddy to be, you should pamper Mummy once I come along or you will be needing these plasters! See you when I get there! xxx
Will he see the funny side?:happyhear We are not put on this earth for ourselves, but are placed here for each other.
If you are there always for others, then in time of need, someone will be there for you.
