cleaning teflon hair straighteners

does anyone know how to clean teflon coated hair straighteners, the plates have gone a brown colour probrably all the hair products i use.

just soap and water and a soft cloth - works on my ceramic ones.
Teflon is the same stuff on frying pans and they get a lot of abuse!!0 -
I always thought that you weren't supposed to use products on your hair whilst straightening them because it bakes the product onto the equipment.
Try a baby wipe. They clean off a multitude of sins. Also check the instructions - I'm sure that unless it's the ceramic ones, you're supposed to use it on clean hair only.Watch out people. You don't know what lurks around the corner for you![/SIZE]0
