Hello..... Thank you and WOW!!!

Hi,
I am new to this site having been lurking and reading posts and tips for the past week or so.
Today my wife and I listed all our income and outgoings and totted up all our debt
we both have fairly well paid jobs but forever and a day we have been raising debt credit cards bank loans HP etc etc.
I have picked up a few tips and am in the process of transfering £7k from two credit cards onto one 0% interest. We will be cancelling a few unwarranted direct debits (mobile phone, sky, gym)
We have started making moves in changing our mortgage lender to a better deal.

All our calcalations were not taking into account any overtime I earn which although not guarnteed is fairly often and can make a hell of a difference. We also didnt take into account my wifes second job (Virgin Vie consultant) which again isnt guarnteed but next month will probably be 50% of her first job take home.

Basically what I am trying to say is by simple budgeting and careful money managment we have managed to set up a plan which will see us paying debt off alot sooner, leave us with spare money and also stop a whole lot of worry.
I guess the hardest part is putting it into practice.

I have a feeling I may be nipping any future debt problems in the bud and for that I just wanted to say thanks. :T
What if the hokey cokey is really whats its all about?

  • Well done Burnsy and welcome. :T

If you want you can post all your incomings and outgoings on here aswell and see if we can find anyways for you to cut back as you may have seen with lots of other posters.

Also by listing all your debts, APR's etc, we might be able to see of ways for you to save there aswell that you might have missed.

    Good luck
