Managed to pick one up in Spalding today. Couldn't believe how tall it was when I went to hang the parasol section. You certainly need ladders for this. Looks great with the fairy lights (picked up at the same time for £15).
Thanks Dazzer680 -
Thats perfect for what i need at the moment. Some lovely:rolleyes: children just moved in next door and they keep standing on their swings and looking over at me. So i need something big to cover my garden!!
Does anyone know whether you have to have a patio to support this or would it stand up on its own???0 -

It looks pretty sturdy but you never know.

The parasol is very top heavy. You would either need to bolt the base down, concrete it in place or weigh it down with boulders. We have wedged half of the base under our decking and weighed the other half down with boulders.Twins, twice the laughs, twice the fun, twice the mess!:j:j0

Having got the parasol I did decide that it looked like overkill for our current patio table - a 4 seater jobby.
So, checked out Homebase again and ordered this online.

Tuscany Extending Table - seats 8-10.
Was £300, then £240, now reduced down to £100. Paid £5.95 delivery online.
I did think about ordering in store but they wanted £35 delivery.0 -

For anyone who has purchased one, I was wondering how you fixed the base down or what slabs you have used. I cant seem to find any the right size?!It is better to be thought a fool than open your mouth and remove all doubt!0 -
In case someone is still looking for these parasols, there were 2 green ones in stock in Chester Homebase this afternoon.0
