Hi All.... I'm hoping someone on here can help me! I use Windows Mail but have found that I can't empty the contents of the "deleted mail" folder...
does anyone have any advice? I'm normally quite obsessive about emptying the spam and deleted folders and keeping the inbox fairly empty and it's driving me maaad!
Thanks in advance!:D

Is it for a hotmail account?0

Thanks be_alright.... It's not for a hotmail account.... it's just vista windows mail....
when I delete mail from the spam folder or when it goes straight into the deleted mail folder, I can delete mail straight away if I do it on the day, but any mail older than one day won't delete. I've got stuff in there from the beginning of Junea box comes up with "unknown error" if I try to delete..... any suggestions????

I had the same problem when I got my new Dell laptop and used Vista for the 1st time. There was some info on the MSE forum but I can't remember where. It seems to be one of the known problems with Windows Mail.
I was advised to download Windows Live Mail and have had no problems since.

Thanks for that kazzaw... I'll look into Windows Live Mail... my mild OCD can't cope with mail cluttering up the folders!!:rolleyes:0

I have the same problem and checked up on the microsoft forum. Didn't find an answer though.
I agree with the above poster though, I still try to delete it every time I log on and the darn thing just sits there grinning :mad:0 -
