Aww...sorry to hear about all that, it sounds terrible. I don't see why it should stop the deal completely - I have had to cancel occupational health assessments before now and they got re-arranged without any issue.
Fingers crossed.I'm the only gay in this forum

I guess I'm worried they'll get charged and think that this potential employee is a potential pain, as they didn't even ask why I cancelled and it's a legit reason - actually related to the disability. No longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
Gemmz, why don't you contact your employer to advise them that your health check has been delayed due to the driving reasons, ask if there is a more convenient location nearer to have the Occupational health check done.
Keep them informed and you should be fine!
Offer to undergo the necessary checks at your own GP.

I wouldn't worry about that - these things do happen alot. I think it would be unlikely, and really unfair, if you were to be judged on such a matter.I'm the only gay in this forum

I don't think they'd dare!
Most employers are terrified of a disability law tribunal.
Just show that you're being as co-operative as possible and you'll be fine.
Did you declare your disability in your job application Gemmz?

I have to see their health thingy, can't think of the word for it, is it occupational health? Anyway the appointment is about 60 miles away and my arm is bad at the moment so I can't drive that far. So I rang to cancel, the woman didn't even ask why, just said they'd charge my (potential) employer and possibly re-arrange.
Sixty miles away?!

I've had my post removed from this morning!!
Someone must have reported it to abuse because it asked for you all to vote for Charlie today - what a mean spirited person he/she is
Ah well, hopefully you'll all vote each day. What I'll ask each day is that you vote for him and if anyone wants the link they can always PM me
That's the last time I offer jaffa cakes as a bribe in return for votes and it's made me feel a bit sad.
Edit: I've now posted on the referrer board - it seems the link has been removed for the last few daily on daily chat AND the owner of number 16 is an MSE'er!!!! I've just seen his/her request in the same thread so it's head to head with another MSE'er it seems!!"Stay Wonky":D
