  • I'm not getting married BTW - was just looking for things DS would like to make for christmas! they were cute and I think it's a nice idea that the folks get to keep it afterwards.

    I agree, and they are lovely keepsakes. What about making little Christmas things for the top of the cake? Very easy to do Choir boys and snowmen even Father Christmas.

    I started with sherry and built up:D

    My mum doesn't drink, but still get boozy presents. It all goes in the cakes. Even taking the lid off can get you a driving ban.

    There were some really cute wee santas that you could either stand on their own or put a wee loop on to hang that I thought he might like making. Will let him have a look for himself though but of course this does mean I'll have to visit hobbycraft... must write list and not deviate from it!:o

    I only drink occasionally but am rather heavy handed with trifles and such. When i made a wedding cake a couple of weeks ago they reckoned i had well preserved it:rotfl: bloomin good though:D
