Spanish mortgage hell

Can anyone help we are about to lose our tenant on our Spanish home ( which was a big mistake anyway ) and without this we cannot pay the mortgage. We also have another property in Spain registered in our name although not ours. It is my wifes parents and we were advised to register it in our names for tax reasons. We need to know repercusions there could be if we can't fulfill our payments. We have nothing in England either we just managed to scrape together a deposit for a house and have a big mortgage here. Also her parents are living with us as they cannot afford there own place yet. Does anyone have any experience of repossession in Spain or any knowledge of Spanish property law as we are quite worried as to whether our english home is at risk. PLEASE HELP!!!

Why own a property for 20 years and have a £250K mortgage on it ?
did they borrow equity to put down a deposit on the apartment in spain
Like others have said £250K plus £155K is going to hurt big style.0
