i started an online spending diary bit on my diary ...only thing is from when i started it i seemed to spend a whole load more ....i found the having a goal and aiming for it helped me a bit ...need to think of a new goal now ...good luck with figuring it out i think different things work for different people i'm still struggling

OMG that has happened to me too!!! I thought I was the only one. Do you think it's to give you something to put down? On the plus side, I've started returning a lot more stuff... I look at the diary and see all the tat I've bought and back it goes to the shop! :D It does help remind me to return things so it's a good tool.

Maybe the key is to try not to obsess then? Perhaps that's what causes the overspending?!

I often panic-buy when I feel I'm short of cash and guess what? It leaves me even shorter!

I've got a nice home, food in the cupboards, plenty of clothes, toiletries, entertainment etc. I don't really NEED anything right now. So maybe I should try to find ways to NOT obsess about money and try just finding other things to occupy myself with for a couple of weeks to let the debt clear? Hmm.
