Quick One on Mortgage Payment Date

Hoping someone will be able to answer this query.

I currently pay my mortgage by direct debit on the 1st of each month. While I always do have enough money in the account to cover it, I was wondering how easy it would be to change the date I pay it to say the 2nd or 3rd of the month. Just incase my pay gets delayed and I don't have enough to cover it.

Will this add to the overall payment because im effectively extending the borrowing period albeit by a day?

Thanks

Chowster

most are willing to adjust payment date- effect varies lender to lender- might mean end up paying 2 days interest on the payment amount each month

BUT ask, as might show on systems as late payment
