Photos from guests

I've been thinking about getting copies of our guests photos and can't think of an easy way of doing it.
Has anyone handed guests CD's or left them on the tables?
I don't really want them to be emailed over.
I'd thought about having some next to the guest book but don't know if they would pick them up.
Any ideas would be gratefully received?

Couldnt you set up a photobucket or something similar for all the guests to upload their photos too.
Or you could set up a Yahoogroup, and then everyone could upload their photos and comment on them.
I have never tried either of these ideas, but was thinking about them for my wedding.0 -

I went to a wedding last year, and CDs were handed out by the toastmaster during the breakfast right before the speeches. Those who wanted one took one, and the insert had the couple's address on it so they knew where to return it to. We certainly sent ours, and I think most people did.
By handing people a CD it's a reminder for them to go away and actually do it.
Also, you sometimes lose the quality on photo sharing sites. They're great for viewing pics, but not always good for printing from.0 -
We're going to set up a Flickr group, but that does mean people will have to become members (free for first 200 photos) to upload their photos. Here's an example of a wedding group (I just picked it randomly, I have no idea who these people are!). My OH is also talking about something you can do with a .mac account on the Apple where people can upload photos without having to register, I don't know much about this. I was thinking if there were photos we wanted to get a copy of we would just ask them to email them or something, CDs are a good idea though.Got married 23rd May 2009, many thanks to all on the Weddings and Anniversaries board for their help and support!

We've got our own wedding website for people to upload photos to, although I imagine most of them will be uploaded to facebook!
I'm not relying on guests taking decent photos though, so I don't mind the slight loss in quality.“I tell you, we are here on Earth to fart around, and don't let anybody tell you different.”

Try www.weddingpath.co.uk.
This is what I used and all the guests uploaded their pics onto this side after the wedding. It was great! It all works out good in the end.If it's not good, it's not the end!0 -
We left CD's on each of the tables, with a label asking them to upload the photos and send them back to us... only one person has actually done this though!
I think maybe save yourself the money and set up a photobucket or flickr account... most people pc-savvy enough to burn a CD can upload to a website...0 -

.mac is no more. it's now .me.com
not sure how window users would find .me.com to be honest.:A MSE's turbo-charged CurlyWurlyGirly:AThinks Naughty Things Too Much Clique Member No 3, 4 & 5
