experian mistakes - who to chase?

On my friend's experian credit report one of their cards is showing twice - once under the name of the card and once under the name of the bank who owns that name. Is this something to take up with experian or would they get further chasing the bank?
Still wish I could buy a TARDIS instead of a house!

Needs to be raised with the bank themselves, the CRA’s only publish the data not control it.

You can raise a notice of dispute with the CRA, but invariably they will just pass it back to you telling you that they have investigated the information with the data controller and they have confirmed it is correct.
 It’s hard enough remembering my opinions - without remembering my reasons for them
  • I know this is slightly different, but on my Experian report there was 2 searches for the same bank acct, so I clicked on the 'query info' tab and raised it with experian who then e-mailed me to confirm that they would write to the bank concerned. Meanwhile they added a 'notice of correction' to my file so any lender searching would see that I was disputing it. Within a couple of weeks the bank agreed to remove the other search and they did!

  • I had issue with an entry on my report, Experian contacted Black Horse and the situation was sorted....... :T
