Hi, it's my first post on here, not sure if it's in the right place, so please be gentle!
I have a CCJ with regards to an Argos card. The court order says I have to pay a token fee of £1 a month. It was to a company called Moorcroft.
A few months ago, I started getting letters from a different company Fredrickson International, with regard to my Argos card. I had a fella at the door, and explained that I had a CCJ, and he went away saying there must have been a mix up & not to worry.
I then got a phone call from them, asking about payment for the debt, I explained again about the court order, and they said the same as the bloke at the door, about there being a mix up.
I then started to get weekly calls off them, and they asked me to send a photocopy of the CCJ, which I did, twice, as they kept saying that they hadn't received the first one.
The phone calls continued, and I was asked to send another copy that was sent recorded, and got there.
I then got a letter from a company called Bryan Carter & co solicitors, acting on behalf of Fredrickson, threatening me with court action. They asked me to send them a copy, which I did, (recorded) and I kept getting phone calls, with them again saying that they hadn't received my copy of the court order.
I sent them another, the fourth in regard to the matter, and told them that it was the last one I was sending.
I hadn't heard from them for a number of weeks, until they rang again just now, yet again that there was no sign of my order.
I sent every one of them with the correct reference numbers, etc.
My question is, once a court order has been made with regards to the debt, can a firm then legally sell the debt on to another debt collection agency, and what should be my next step, as I'm sure as hell not sending them yet another copy of my court order!
Thanks & apologies again if this is in the wrong section!
