SKY's remote record facility - FREE yes or no please?

Hi I have Sky + and my wife want to use Sky's remote record facility when we go on holiday, god forbid if she missed one of her soaps or Big Brother, anyway I have read like mad on the net and the Sky site and I cannot find if it costs anything (we would do it online).

I see you have to register and texts cost if you do it that way, but we will have internet access so was thinking of doing it that way. The answer does not even seem to be in the FAQs which is silly I think.

So can anyone tell me, is the service and the remote booking of each program totally free if you do it online?

Any info appreciated.

I dnt have sky myself but with sky plus cant you set the recorder to record a series of programs eg whole series of BB

You can set it up before you go, were just back our holidays and im still trying to catch up on the soaps as i had set it up to record series of both coronation street and eastenders its really easy to do via remote and no charge;) although i havent found how to record just the omnibus yet, I havent set things up for the text option but i would think it would just be the cost of a text.

put whatever you want on series link, then you don't have to worry.

but there isn't any charge if you remote record from mysky, only by text.

Apologies I maybe did not explain enough, yes we have all the serie linked soaps etc done but as we are away for 3 weeks she wants to be able to check what is on while we are away and record a few one off things.

Sometimes you cant look so far ahead as well.

She does realise she will have to find time to watch all these soaps etc when she comes abck
