I am going to be returning to education and will have student status.
I am currently living with my boyfriend.
Will he be able to claim single person disount on his council tax as I will be a student?

As long as your registered as a F/T student that meets the relevant criteria then you will be disregarded from the Council Tax bill and a 25% discount awarded.I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0
