Have you tried ringing the benefit help line to see what they say about the matter, I know if the bank tries to take benefit for bank charges they can recover the money. Just wondering if they could help on this matter.
Is this true? Have had £128 paid into my pre BR account accidentally since BR on 18th March. £42 of which was CTC's. After having no charges for at least 6m and not running the account any differently for that time they suddenly take £200 in charges which they say date back to December, with no notification, leaving us £80 odd pounds overdrawn and no cash. This is after they said they had sent a cheque for the balance then changed their mind when I said I hadn't rec'd it! Now I know the od figure can come under BR but what about the £128 they IMO stole. Can i at least get the £42 back?
