did you pay by credit card ? if so do you have that statement as i suppose you could take that.#
also does the product have any labels,or stickers left on it to indication that it's from BHS as that it self can be good enough i suppose.,

last Jan07 i bought a pair of boots in the sale for £20 but by April 07 the sole had cracked. i had chucked the receipt once the credit card statement was paid etc. but i used that to get a full refund! luckilu the BHS marking was still inside the boots!

usually a receipt is better, but a credit card statement is also a good proof, and especially so if there is a labelling on the item to prove it is from BHS. i think they may do 'case' of sending the item back to headoffice to check out the details etc.
we had a situation where hubby bought a pair of cords in the sale for £10 from Moss Bros in Oxford St London, (day out over weekend), After the first wash the colour of the lined pockets - which was navy blue, had run into the fabric of the cords - which were a beige colour,. wasn;t sure what to do and had left it a couple of months before deciding to see what happens if i complained. again i luckily had the credit card receipt and took it to our nearest Moss Bros branch - not in London. explained and complained - they returned it to Head office, confirmed all the details and posted me £10 gift voucher!!!

    have a try!

If you dont have receipt or any other proof of purchase (credit card stmt or bank stmt) then you get the current price in vouchers.
