OR interview - the verdict..

Seemed to go ok. I think i largely avoided waffle and the woman who interviewed me was really nice. Obviously going through the whys and wherefores of all my debts made me feel like abit of a loser but at least it being over the phone rather than face to face lessened the embarrasment slightly. I guess that's the worst of it over then? I do feel like a weight has been lifted....

I found that the worst too. Its embarrassing going through credit card after card - "and what did you spend this on?" all I can answer is living expenses and don't know. By the time you get to card number 10.....

Glad its over for you!!! Just the waiting now. Much easier.

    Hi susie
Sounds good. Must admit i felt kinda numb on the court day and the interview was what i dreaded most. After that the relief was instant. Boy will you sleep well tonight girl.D

I actually preferred the face to face that I had. I usually keep all details in my head but for the life of me couldn't remember what I'd spent the last remortgage on. I knew I had done nothing criminal and everything I spent left a paper trail so I wasn't worried they could 'find out' anything.

I also started counting weeks but haven't done that for some time. I'm 2 weeks away from 4 months and I don't really thing about it now.

  • OR said an ED was a possibility, although to be honest, that doesn't worry me, i don't think it will make a big difference to life - the big changes have already happened. Also, so far, the creditors i have told (now i've started answering the phone again!) have been ok.

We are NOT losers, circumstances sometimes kick us in the nuts, we try ever so hard to keep our heads above water, wishing we were a little taller. Don't feel bad about it. It gets better afterwards. Not entirely easier but better.
  • I know we aren't losers really, but admitting you have tens of thousands of debt and nothing to show for it - it didn't feel like my finest moment! Still, what's done is done, and is now the past, so as summer said- onwards and upwards!
