I know about laminate, but I heard there was another option that looks and feels (hard but not cold) the same but is layed down like a carpet (in one peice), so no worries about the accidental spilages etc etc getting into cracks? Was I hearing things?
Can anyone offer any opinions/info .... thanks.

We've got cushionfloor in our conservatory which is thick lino. It looks like laminate. We have fooled many a visitor who hasn't been able to tell the difference.
May I ask why you don't want a carpet?April 2006 - £9790.26dr. DFD - March 20110 -
Hiya, thanks for that! will look into it.
Would loooove carpet, but youngest is genetically programmed to spill stuff and generally make a mess! It would be easier to have something that I can just wipe clean rather than the current, wash it, scrub it and stay off it till it dries!
Cushioned flooring, is it easy to poke holes in it??? Need to ask 'cos I just know she will try it!I can say whatever I like here ... 'cos no one can see me .. ner ner ner ner ner !!!....How do you know I ain't sitting here butt naked?!?!I thunk I've made you think for a minute!:j :rotfl: :j0 -
How about Flotex, we have this in our breakfast room and kitchen. It's a mix between a carpet and cushioned flooring so nice and warm under foot.It can deal with anything that you spill on it, in fact the ads have men cleaning after gloss paint has been spilt and still looking like new. It comes with a lifetime guarantee. I'ts about £20 a square metre/foot? Not cheap but very good quality and offers more sound proofing than lino or laminate.Look after the pennies and the £££s will look after themselves0
