Anyone know about the Money Club?

I am thinking about joining 'The Money Club' and wondered if anyone had any experience of it. The idea is that for a yearly sub of £89, whenever you want to buy anything from a mortgage, insurance, a holiday to a retail item they will be able to get the item for you cheaper than you could find it elsewhere. If you haven't saved the sub cost after 3 months you can apply for a refund. First year membership is meant to guarantee savings over £500 and they guarantee to beat any retail price you can find yourself.

I would be interested to know what people think. The website is https://www.themoneyclub.co.uk

    Hi

As a side note , not wise to use an email address as username ... think its actually now not allowed, I have dropped a note to Moderator who will no doubt make contact to change it

( edit .. he's done it now, so this message looks silly!, but hey I won't delete it)

  • I must admit that it does sound too good to be true. I've just been sent loads of stuff recently, including joining spanish lottery!

By the way, I didn't mean to include my email address as my username and it wasn't what I thought I'd submitted but obviously I've done something stupid!

Just wait until next month when you'll start getting emails saying you've WON the Spanish Lottery (just send £19.95 for 'processing'...).

Do be careful. Another common scam is to tell you that if you buy a lottery ticket but don't win a prize, you'll get your money back. You might think "what have I got to lose?" What actually happens (I'll admit I am guessing this) is that they put you in a syndicate with all the other mugs who've bought a ticket. With all those tickets, at least one is bound to win £10 or something, which then gets split across the whole syndicate, so everyone gets a few pennies. But because you've "won", you can't claim your stake money back.
Eh?? I give up!! Towel is getting thrown in here! :D

I used to work for them - don't join - really. No-one who works there is a member believe me.
Ther new trick is to keep calling from 01162 253841 up to 6 times a day - it's driving me mad. No good trying to phone the number just get the engaged signal.
Found it was this a** wipe by checking on google. Please feel for the caller though they have to cold call to get you to have a brochure - and i don't care what they call it it's cold calling. I know I have never expressed an interest!!!
