Has anyone tried this with M&S?

I bought a dress from M&S from thier online sale on Thurs 13th for £12 and recieved it on Mon. I went back onto thier site to order a different size, the dress had gone down to £3.
I was thinking about going into M&S store and refunding the dress for £12 and than buying it again for £3.
Has anyone tired this and has it worked.

Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. Not sure about other M&S stores but my local one does not allow this, they will not let you purchase unless item is on shop floor and they won't return item to shop floor until following day.

I've never tried it by taking an item back to the store, but did it a couple of times by returning items by mail. Seemed silly not to

I've done it in other shops can't see why M & S would be any different. I usually either buy the item at the reduced price first and then take the other one back seperately or I get my mum to do the one and I do the other.

I'll second that in my local stores. They won't let you return and buy the same dress again, but if the same dress is available on line or instore there is nothing to stop you buying the lower priced dress and returning the one you have for a refund. I've certainly done this on several items, usually after the xmas sales.Look after the pennies and the £££s will look after themselves0
