cccs - debt help

Hello

In mid June finally went on DMP with CCCS. Paid money in 1st July. On 4th July 4 against debts (all same company) I received acceptance of DMP and 0% interest for 6 month review

Lloyds have not acknowledged DMP and continued to add various charges making no reference to cccs

A credit Card co - contacted me to say on the phone today to ask why my account had gone into arrears without payment. I asked if DMP had been estab lished, and they said they declined the DMP on 20th June - as I had used the card within the week leading up to the offer (its chopped up now.....did live on card for 2wks petrol, food - no choice....)

Current Account have continued to add interest and having contacted me to say yes / no / maybe....nothing

Question - who would normally contact me re DMP offer.....i expected CCCS to let me know if any were declined, and I can see they havent

I have logged on and CCCS have my money and will pay the creditors on 25th of month.....Meanwhile, what should I do? Contact creditors, wait?

The credit card co said they will send me paperwork re debt and budget before deciding....shouldnt I leave all that to cccs....

confused:confused::confused::confused:

    CCCs have no power to make them stop interest or accept lower payments, they are also under imence pressure due to high number of people falling into debt crisis.I would sort it myself as it saves time and effort chasing CCCs but they are supposed to have more influence over creditors. It's up to you.
    TBH I would send payments to the ones who have accepted the DMP and not to those who havn't. Bank the money and write to them again explaining your situation and reminding them of their obligation to help vunerable customers.

    On Monday contact CCCS and tell them the situation.First of all don't get worked up about any letters you receive whatever threats they make it will take months for them to do anything,so for the time being stick with CCCS and if you have problems give them a call.

    Sorry I said contact on Monday,I believe they are open Sat Morning till ! Give them a call.

    It takes a while for many creditors in a DMP to settle down. The vast majority do, even if they "throw the toys out of their pram" when you first set one up with CCCS.

    Contact CCCS and see what they say. They can help reassure you in the meantime.

    Forgot to mention that there is a DMP mutual support thread here on MSE/DFW.

    A lot of people with CCCS post on that.

    Always make payment to those you owe money too even if its a token payment! Some creditor like to default you before they will formally except your DMP.
    Debt free and plan on staying that way!!!!
