Getting Hassled on the Telephone??

I was with a mate the other day, who was getting hassled on the telephone. It was not a diebt collector but someone trying to sell him something. Anyway, I thought his tecnique to get rid of them was brilliant:

Friend: Hello
OP: Hi its fsalkjhfs calling about cheap phone calls/move your gas/elec supplier/from Wescot Credit Services/Barclaycard (insert name of annoying party or caller here)
Friend: I am terribly sorry, I am unable to take your call. I have a court order preventing me from using the telephone. Please put your enquiry in writing.
