Recipe for cinnamon & raisin bread?

I've just finished a loaf of Irwin's "Rankin Selection" Cinnamon and Raisin bread. I can't get enough of the stuff but sadly this doesn't seem to be available in any of my local supermarkets.

See http://www.irwinsbakery.co.uk/products/product/47/rankin-selection-cinnamon-and-raisin-loaf/ if you haven't a clue what I'm talking about!

Can anyone point me in the direction of a similar recipe? I have a Panasonic breadmaker so a receipe that would work in that would be excellent!!!

Thanks for looking!

That recipe refers to using a bread machine, what if you don't have a bread machine, like me

Hi topher :j I've found a couple of recipes: one here and another one here (that one has sultanas, but later in the thread someone successfully substitutes for raisins ;) ).

You can generally just add a bit of cinnamon and some raisons to any white bread recipe. A bit of sugar if you want to, you don't really need a seperate recipe, but one with eggs and milk in it makes it last longer...and taste richer!!

Thanks for the replies folks. The actual bread I love is a soda bread - does this make a difference? I'm new to this bread / cake making malarky!

Yes, it will make a difference. I see that the link you mentioned in your first post was for soda bread, but the recipes given in the links are for yeasted bread. I'd continue your search.

Try searching http://www.recipezaar.com/ using "cinnamon raisin soda": you will certainly get a lot of results. See this one: http://www.recipezaar.com/121708
