Matalan sale, check your receipt

Went to the Matalan sale last night. Didn't have time to look at the ladies reductions but the mens reductions were fantastic. 50% off lots of tee shirts, shirts, jumpers and jeans. Loads of choice.

But check your receipt. We were overcharged £12 on 2 items. When we went to customer service the assistant said it had been happening all day!

We bought some stuff in their sale yesterday and the assistant had to check all the sale prices. We had been there the previous week and the till receipt was so pale it was impossible to read.
  • I have NEVER had a correct reciept in Matalan!

I now drive them mad by asking them to check every item they scan!

I usually find that I have been charged less than I expect by Matalan...thanks for the heads up though.
This site has saved me a fortune :money: ...it's also cost me a fortune!

I was at Customer services for at least 20 minutes last week whilst they tried to work out which of their sale offers hadn't been applied to my bill. I was overcharged by £4 and really wish I hadn't bothered to get it sorted. In the end my baby boy was crying so hard I had to leave the stuff, get a refund and return later to re-buy it! By then they had worked out the problem (I had bought only 3 items on a bogof offer) and had the cheek to blame me!!! I only wanted 3 items - blimey I wasnt impressed by her advice to 'come back when your baby is less stressed' either.

So the moral of the story is - yup you should check your receipt!

I tried to watch as they were going through the till. I'd picked up a nightie for my nan, it went through the till at full price, the ticket had been highlighted but she wouldn't sell me it for half price (other sizes for the same item were marked down) so I left it.

I've not once been in that shop and bought something without them overcharging me and as for the sale times - well it's a complete nightmare, there's always lots of mistakes made.
