hi,
having severe problems installing a bluetooth dongle on an XP HOME desktop pc...
i want to install it manually via the software disc that came with the dongle..
it works fine til it asks to plug the device in, but once you do that, the Found New Hardware Wizard bullys its way in and takes over!
all i end up with is 2 programs scrapping with one another on my screen!
the dongle isnt fully functional if you install it with the wizard, thats why i need the software features of the disc...
i think you can disable the Hardware wizard, but im not sure how..
Any suggestions?

Cant you just press cancel? have a read here http://www.helpero.com/Questions-and-answers/Computers/Windows/How-can-I-disable-the-Found-New-Hardware-Wizard-Windows_12274.html
"Navigate to C:\WINDOWS\system32\newdev.dll file. This is the Found New Hardware Wizard.
All you have to do is to rename this file to something else and it won't bother you again. But remember that you won't be able to install new drivers either while this is disabled. You can rename it back to the original file name and it will work again.
Windows System File Protection will get in the way when you try to change that file. You need to rename it either in Safe Mode when the System File Protection is not active."0
