I went alone as well, no problem, he just said "yep" when I showed the voucher and scanned it very easily. I don't really understand why they're doing this as it's an £18 entry fee for an adult. I spent a couple of hours and saw everything, but some people like to do more. I would have liked to have seen the trebuchet fire, but I would have had to wait a while, so I just skipped it.

I don't understand how they can charge that much for a castle that is not that much different than some of the English Heritage castles, but I guess they get buyers! :) The wax figures in the rooms are unique and lifelike.

Actually I thought it was a good DAY out, not just a couple of hours (I spent 4 there), and there was plenty to keep the kids occupied. Mine always used to get bored with NT and English Heritage.
And of course, once in, apart from Ghosts Alive, you can go round things more than once.

I used the vouchers over the weekend - 3 adult tickets (although 1 was for my 15 yr old son ) & 4 kids tickets. No problems whatsoever.

I then used the Pizza Express vouchers for tea!!!. The restaurant is about 3 minutes walk from the main entrance.

    Great day had by all.

Kateo, what is the Pizza Express offer please ?
I probably would have ignored it, as I try to steer clear of Pizza places ( too much temptation and too many calories), but I was hoping to take ds and his mate - so they would love to finish the day off with a pizza, esp if it is so close, and I can crunch on a lettuce and a diet coke! lol ;)
    thanks

p.s Those who have already been using this voucher, did anyone have trouble with black and white print-outs, or am I best to try and get it done in colour ?

Also, is the medieval tournaments etc on every day, or just at weekends? I would prefer to try and miss the worst of the weekend crowds, but boys would love the jousting etc.
We went a few years ago, and Tusauds had just started with odd weekend Mediaeval Tournaments and ye Olde Medieval Village etc. I thought they had extended this to all weekends, but is this on every day now ?

    Many thanks

    HI TOB

The offer was for 2 for 1 at Pizza Express. Valid til 7 Aug

We used 2 of them on 1 order - ( ie 4 pizzas for price 2)

The Medieval Summer is on every day - so loads for your boys to see & do.

We used black and white, were a little nervous that it looked photocopied, but they accepted it just fine.

All the shows are every day at the moment: you can double check (and plan your day around them!) here: http://www.warwick-castle.co.uk/events/events_programme.asp

    Hope this helps!
