It looks good apart from the fact that it does not mention Freeview. So only good
for recording analogue. Not such a good buy, stick to Humax.

I have an ordinary dvd and a separae video player and they both record freeview so why should this set not?

I'm assuming that the poster meant that since it does not mention freeview or twin tuners it could only record the channel you are 'watching'.

So it does not make it an all in one solution. Being able to watch one channel whilst recording another is vital to me.

That's why they are a good price as the new ones all have a twin tuner in them for freeview for when the analogue channels disappear. Only thing I can think of that these are good for is copying your old VHS tapes to DVD easily and to record when you are out. When the analogue channels go off you will only be able to record the channel you are watching. They also have these machines in Instore/Poundstretcher
