Genuine replys only please - no time wasters...
Does anyone know where I can buy/get a cheap hen hut & run to keep about 5 hens in Northern Ireland. i have already placed an ad in freecycle and the free-ads paper. I have looked on ebay but the end of auction prices are too expensive for me, and then there is p&p ontop too??. I have thought of trying to make one but I have no DIY experience and a roll of wire is about £100 and then I would still have to make something or pay someone to make it - not an option. I wanted a cheap frame(anything really) and a wee hut so I can have a few layers in.

we have just bought a fab brand new ark for 6 birds from a guy who makes them in Portadown. They are £180,which believe me is very reasonable indeed!!We were quoted a lot more elsewhere.....that also sounds a lot for wire.....0

I'm not sure where you are but there's this guy in Templepatrick:

I made a good one, i picked up a Gallagher's box for £5 and the wire was £25 ish in McManus Hardware in Randalstown. U nails and a few bits and pieces was under a £5 so the whole lot came in with an 8 foot run at £35 and the banties are very happy
