Thanks cherw1981!!!

I came sooo close to winning first prize in this competition:
http://www.heatworld.com/Promotion/1...nging+Makeover

I decided to go for it and email them with details of my worst dating disaster and I was on the radio today at 11:30am telling my story to the nation (should of changed my name :o ) anyway, it came down to the final 3 and then a vote by text. Unfortunately I didn't win but had a WEM saying 'sorry you didn't win but as a runner up we'll be forwarding you a stack of CD's and DVD's".

So - a big thank you cherw1981, I'm looking forward to seeing what goodies I have won. xxx

well done, so for those of us that didnt listen - what was your worst dating disaster?
    Weight Loss - 102lb
  • I was expecting that question from someone..lol:o :o
SO, if I can tell the nation, I can tell my MSE pals..here goes..

Cue getting ready for a date with a man you'd fancied for a long long time and thought 'no chance', he'd never look at me. Well, he moved companies (he was also an IT contactor as I am) and we swapped email addresses. Tall, dark handsome the blackest hair and dark eyes (he is half italian). Well, after getting divorced this was a first date for a very long time. Went into Liverpool, bought an expensive white tuxedo style suit from Cricket, blew a fortune. Had my nails done, hair done, spray tan, the lot..I was glowing, felt good and looked good. The date was in Chester at a lovely little wine bar. So I gets there, we hook up and after a few drinks shown to a table for something to eat, waiter comes and takes drinks order, I order shiraz red wine. Tables wobbly, one leg shorter than the rest, keeps rocking back and forth. He lifts his pint, takes some of the weight off and knocks my drink in the process as I reached for it, wine sloshes out of the glass all over me, down my right leg and all over my crotch, soaking wet. I grab the white napking stand up to dab the said wine off myself, as I stand up suddenly, the @ss rips right up the seam at the back of my trousers...:o :o:o cue mortification, jacket isn't long enough to cover it, no coat, and wearing a thong to boot. Talk about major embarassment, him laughing his head off, me very angry. Marched out, turned far more heads on the way out than I did on the way in. Hailed a taxi and went home, left him there laughing. rejected all phone calls cos of the embarassment and conviently lost contact. Got home, cried my eyes out, cracked open another bottle of wine and spent the rest of the night peeing myself laughing and ringing my girlfriends telling them the story. A long time ago, re-married now but a night I'll never forget!!! I hope you all have a laugh on me..lol...:rotfl: :rotfl: If your'e gonna do something, do it in style!

The one who won it had accidently ended up with pink hair after a dye job went wrong at the local college (in prep for her date). It all came down to the number of votes sent to a text line and unfortunely I had a call on the landline when they said the number on the radio (and they only gave us 45mins for the votes to be cast), so I missed it and couldn't tell any of my mates to vote for me. I think if I had I would have won. Never mind. I'm happy and recalling it made me laugh (although mortified at the time).
