Keeping My Fiance Away From The Effects Of Bankruptcy

Hello everybody
I am considering bankruptcy, I will be able to keep my job and have no concerns about my credit rating. My only concern is that I live with my fiance, she has a mortgage and I pay board to her. We are getting married next year and my main fear is that the creditors could use our marraige as a way to get to my fiances house and take it off hee. Obviously my debts are nothing to do with her so I do not want her to pay for it any more than she already has. Can you give me any advice on this?
Thanks
Dan

This could only be a risk if they could argue you had a beneficial interest in the house i.e contributed to its purchase/costs/ or upkeep0

The first thing you need to do is talk to a debt charity. Links and numbers in my signature. The judge will ask if you have taken professional advice and can delay your petition if you haven't.
As long as you have no joint accounts, loans etc then you will not affect your fiance.
When you fill out your SOA as far as any one is concerned you are renting a room from her, you are not living with your fiance.or the OR might think you have an interest in the house.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0
