You could ring the court and ask if there are any cancellations would they consider you.Might be worth a try.D

As somebody who has seen all this before, pass the word to your friends that house prices can go down as well as up.

Yes but what i am saying is bit like the doctors,if somebody decides(like i think you did;) )not to go bc and cancels their date, then you could have their appointment. If they are aware you are all ready and can go at the drop of a hat then it might get done sooner.D

I would suggest getting yourself re-homed first as the priority. Once you have gone BR and new LL/Letting Agents do credit checks you could find yourself looking at a 6 month bond (6 months upfront etc) so get it out of the way ASAP.

Plus getting into a new home is a bit more settling.

Im guessing the OR will go through all that once you are BR so i would not worry about that right now. I know what you mean about parents as i still have not told mine and do not intend to and there is no real reason for them to know about it.

There are a few stories of people's experience of court on here and i dont know if its helpful but here is mine: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1012833

You will be fine on the day and in a strange way you kind of enjoy it.

I was like you and felt a failure and i had fought with my debt for 15 years but i think my real failure was not doing something about it sooner to be honest.
