I think there is a two for one entrance rail offer if you are travelling by train

On Martin's homepage it talks about the loophole on how to get the train tickets even if you aren't travelling. It's on the right hand side - days out 2for1.

I went to ZSL as they like to be called now (- Zooligical Society London I think it was - lol) this week and used the Zoo coupon I cut out months ago off the Kelloggs cereal - one goes free with any full paying adult. It also cover Aquariums, so if you have any, or could beg some off friends and family, would also be useful for London Aquarium I think ( just next to London eye).

There is ZSL London and ZSL Whipsnade.

There were the vouchers on Kellog's cereals. Don't know if these are still available.

  • Does anyone have one that they are not likely to use?

I would love to take my partner to the zoo this weekend, but can't afford the cost for both of us.

    Thanks a lot for reading.

  • Hi Ally

If you visit Days Out Guide (this link is specifically for London Zoo), it has a 2for1 offer. All you need is a train ticket and the voucher that you print off the website, after you fill in your details. There are loads of other 2for1 offers for attractions, theatre etc.

So basically, get yourself the cheapest train tickets possible and head on down to the zoo and ENJOY!

Here is some more info. from their website:

What kinds of train tickets are valid for this promotion?
2for1 and special offers/admission vouchers are available with almost ANY type of train ticket issued to London on normal 'paper' ticket stock (i.e. not electronic or 'smartcard' but for exceptions see below) and valid on the day you wish to the visit the attraction, theatre, or restaurant, e.g. rail tickets include Day Travelcards, Family Travelcards, Cheap Day Returns, Savers, SuperSavers, Advance Purchase Tickets, Apex, Open tickets, Season Tickets, various promotional travel tickets that may be issued from time to time, etc...
By way of recognition if your travel ticket shows the Double-Arrow (or 'crows-foot') National Rail logo you're safe to assume it is valid. If you are unsure in any way please ask at your local staffed National Rail station.
If you have a valid rail ticket that is valid for more than one day e.g. Saver return to London valid for one month on the return journey, you can use this to visit an attraction within that same one month period of return travel validity.
Please always remember to present your valid rail tickets alongside your 2for1 and special offers/admission vouchers at the attractions box office.

Can I use an Oyster card?
    No, except as shown below.
The 2for1 London Attractions partners DO NOT recognise Oyster Cards as being valid accompanying rail tickets.

However you are able to use Oyster cards that are issued in conjunction with Freedom passes.
