Mbna Credit Card T&C's

I'm trying to help a friend who's got a credit card debt he can't pay. Anyway I'm trying to find the terms and conditions to see if it says anything about how they'll help if you run into financial difficulties, also charges for late payments etc.

I'll done a google but it brings up platinum and other specific cards. I've got his statement in front of me and it just says Mbna Europe & Your Visa Account Statement. No specific 'type' of Mbna Visa card.

Can anyone direct me to their terms & conditions ??

Thanks

It is more than likely that they will be specific to the product he has.

The only way to ensure that he has the correct ones is to contact the creditor directly and ask them to provide a duplicate copy of the T&C's for his specific card type.

However it is unlikely that you will find a statement to the effect you are looking for as cases are normally assessed on an individual basis, and there is no generic policy on how to deal with late / missed payments

best bet is to give them a call and explain the situation.
 It’s hard enough remembering my opinions - without remembering my reasons for them

MBNA can be very difficult to deal with. Their 'help' usually involves them threatening you and refusing to listen.

However. I would still advise your friend to call them first and talk about the problem. All companies prefer to hear from the individual concerned before the problem gets out of hand and they are usually more willing to do something.

If this fails then get onto CCCS or national debtline.
