Can finally start to get things sorted

Hi Everyone,

i posted on here a couple of months ago, I had got myself into such a state to say the least and lots of you made some very helpful suggestions in regards to getting bankruptcy fees together. Well i have finally managed to get the money together :T :T I just wanted to say thanks because if it wasn't for the post i put up on here and all the helpful comments I dread to think what things would be like at the moment.

I have had advice from CAB and cccs who have confirmed bankruptcy is my only option, I filled in all the forms online and printed them off but still need to get a BR Hearing date, do I just need to phone the court and ask for a bankruptcy hearing?... I keep putting off phoning them because I'm not exactly sure what to say :o

I'm very nervous to say the least but I know it's the best thing to do.

Laura x

Yep..give your local court a call & ask for the next available appt to present your forms to declare yourself bankrupt they should give you the next available date & time might be a bit though depending on how busy they are

I know its easier said than done but try not to worry...its not half as bad on the day going to court as you probably imagine it is!

Totally understand Laura, but make the call, then you have that date to aim for and then well on the way to the start of a whole new life for you. ;)

Well done Laura for getting up the courage to phone, I know it must have been difficult. Just have a look at some of the posts from people who have been to court and see what they say about the experiance.

    Thanks everyone.

I've got a bit of a dilema now, nobody can look after my daughter while I am in court. I doubt they would be happy if I turned up with a 1 year old. I was lucky to get the date so soong on though so don't really want to change it. Hope I will be able to sort something out

Whist i agree with frosty court is not the best place, there have been other posters like yourself that have hda no choice but to take them. Explore all avenues, neighbours, creche ect and if nothing viable comes up then you will have to bite the bullet and take the little person with you. Well done on getting the funds together and good luck for tues.D
