Hi everyone again.
Yep i'm still here lol
Partners debt, not mine, just so you know lol
Just to re-cap. Libility order for debt for council tax £212.97 which has been paid in full to the council, and libility order settled and council happy. Also council confirmed the balance was now ZERO.
Bailiff fee's of £147.50 were added to the debt. The same day the first payment was made (one payment made on Tuesday 1st July and the 2nd on the Friday 4th July) to the council. I sent a letter to Equita asking for a break down of there fee's via recorded mail. As advised on here.
About a week later i received the so called breakdown, name and address was correct on the envelope, but when i opened it, it said DEAR MRS ***** (totally wrong name, no where near our surname) someone else!
The break down listed.....Debt £314.75 Wrong! (Debt was £212.97 given by council)
Bailiff Fee's £69.00
Enforcement Fee £117.50
Total £501.25
Payment Received Total £353.75????
Balance £147.50
Apart from the name being incorrect and the Debt amount being incorrect, i wouldn't call this a acceptable break down.
Just to make things worse, when i got in from work on Friday there was a hand posted letter in the door mat, "REMOVAL OF GOODS NOTICE" PAYMENT DUE IN FULL-24 HOURS. For £360.47!!!!
(He didn't show)
I'm just looking for the best course of action to take in relation to the fee's, as i said, i send off and asked for the breakdown, and got the above.
Please help me out.
Thank You.
Viva....:)

sounds like they have two cases mixed up to me viva is so a very stroppy letter or calll over your concerns this other person may be getting your details and a threat of a formal complaint re implications of a breach of the data protection act might get there attention as they are paranoid when it comes to allagations of a breach;)Thats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all ………….

Definatly agree with BAAB on this. I would make it a strongly worded letter so you have proof that you raised concerns. Really lay it on thick about the data protection.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0

Phone the council at thell them to call the bailiffs off, don't be fobbed off, they are the only ones who can do this, until they do the bailiff will keep hassling you.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

I was told on monday that once the bailiffs fees have been added they have to be paid-this was by a court appointed bailiff who was explaining the various diferences to him and debt collector etc. It's the way these guys get paid as they are not salaried he said?Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!0
