You will be paying tax at 40% if your total income (pay + benefits) exceeds £41,435.
Your first job pays you 31,000 + 5,500 + 8,000 = 44,500 so you are already paying at the 40% rate band.
Your other job would pay you 35,000 + 4,000 + 8,000 = 47,000
So the extra you would have (after tax - don't know about NI) would be £2,500 x 40% = £1500 pa or £125/month
kitty1801 has it spot on (well almost). At that level of income there is also an additional 1% of NI to pay, so net monthly increase would actually be £122.92.0 -
If it's a petrol car, the car benefit is £4080 & fuel £2873. If it's diesel then car benefit is £4800 & fuel £3380.
If your car is the petrol version, then taking into account your medical benefit of around £900, I would expect your code to be K240.
You would really be best to get your coding checked. Without having that to hand, I can't explain why your code is only 148L.0 -

Tax Code: 90L
Pension contribution: 5%
Company car: Volvo C50 R Design Sport 2.0D
No other benefits.
What other information would you need from me to be able to calculate final pay?
