  • By saying your DH was discharged are you saying that he was BR for 12 months and then discharged. With regard to the Ex. I suspect what you mean is she is paying an IPA, which is an agreement to pay a % to the the OR for 36 months. She will still be discharged after 12 months. You are still allowed a mortgage and a car when you are BR.

    Before they got married, she had already been BR once. After they got married she convinced him a good idea was to go BR as after a few years debts mounted. He had no idea she's already been BR. He went BR for 3 years being as it was his first time, she had to go BR for 9 years. I checked on an insolvency register the other day & she's still classified as BR with an auto discharge next year. I'm guessing then that means she's still in fact BR?

    Then she has probably been given a BRO especially if this was not the first time she has been BR. This is where the restrictions of BR are extended for a number of years (anywhere from 2-15).if there has been a misdemeanor.
