Yesterday I would have done that but that was before we got a letter through saying that Nectar are changing the way they allocate points in Sainsbury's supermarkets...in Scotland only!
From now on if you spend between £0-£49.99 you will only get 1 point per £ not two and you have to spend £50-£99.99 to get the two points you would currently get. They are increasing the number of points you get for big spends eg £100-150 will earn 3 points per pound and £150+ will earn 4. What they are trying to do clearly is encourage more spending, but what they are actually doing is penalising anyone who can't spend £50 at one go: single people, pensioners on a budget, young families (like us) who are trying to shop prudently. They very kindly give you two bonus vouchers for 200 points on a £25 shop  Coming straight after their sneaky price rises to the basics range (less in veg bags with very slight price reduction eg 5p = unit price rise), I'm off to Tesco who don't mess about like this!

Very interesting this. Back in the days I used to have a Sainsburys Reward card which was blue and even had an expiry date on it! it was a flat 1point per £1. 1point=£1.
When Nectar came out they said you would now get 2 points per pound but each point was only worth 0.5p. I always wondered when it would go back to 1point for £1.Ex-Employee of a Train Operating Company.
