What would you clean a freeezer with?

I have been inspired by all the posts on OS and cooked a vegetable soup, a chicken soup, artisan bread and a few fish pies, my small freezer is now full, I do have a chest freezer in the outside shed, but it's been empty and unused for about a year. So I need to give it a good clean before I start using it again. What should I use? I remember being told Bicarbonate of soda in warm water to clean the inside, but not totally sure.
So what would you recommend?

My mum always told me to clean the inside of fridges and freezers with bicarbonate of soda and warm water. She said it gets rid of any smells.:)Do more of what makes you happy:)0

i know that MrsMcawber recommends wiping it over with fabric softner before turning it back on as it helps stop the ice sheets from sticking and makes it easier to defrost in futureNonny mouse and Proud!!

Thanks for the replies, I have now cleaned the freezer with bicarbonate of soda and warm water and then wiped it over with fabric softener, so it's ready to go
Thanks again0
