Can any body offer any advice on the following please? I'm trying to wangle a very up todate model free mobile for my son, but without asking him which model he wants.
Which is the most up to date superdooper version with the most amount of points free?
I'd also like to know which network will offer a 12 month contract and allow the inclusive free mins to be used on any network. If poss I'd like the contract to start in December, as its a chrissie pressie. I'd also like to be able to put a limit on the amount he can spend when the free mins are used up, and one final thing could any unused calls be carried forward to the following month.
I dont want much do I ?
Thanks a lot

Hi Newcomer,
I suggest going into the 02 shop or online and going for the Online 50 Texter tariff on a 12 month contract for £19.00 per month which gives you 75 minutes to any network and 300 free text messages which is good as kids tend to use more texts than voice minutes.

Get the Sony Ericcson W800i Walkman Phone which is the coolest phone around at the moment, especially for teenagers. He can link it up to the pc via usb and download music to it to use as a mp3 player. Comes with headphones and memory card etc. You do have to pay 29.99 for the phone but I think it's well worth it.

Ask instore about a credit limit, they can set it up for you or contact customer service once you've got the phone.
Alternatively if you really want Boots points then go for this offer, this is a great phone for kids too

Hope this helps,

Hi Dave
Thanks for that. I'm not very good at this sort of thing, but if the Boots offer works out free, isn't that the best one to go for?
Thanks for all the info

I'm guessing most of us have the mailing for 'double points' from boots, couldn't we use that on this offer then it really would be worth the deal????????0

If you go to the O2/student (look on the telephone/mobile thread) you can get the SE w800i for £4.99. Also there are loads of discussions about the cheapest way to get a phone. That might help you.
The Boots offer is good providing you are going to spend all those points on items you want. You must remember to send off for the cash back at various times. Also remember to go through something like www.quidco.co.uk for an extra cash bonus.0
